Over the past few years, photographer Emily Howe and filmmaker John O’Brien have captured the lives of lambs on their sheep farm in Tunbridge, Vermont. Not all lambs are created equal—some have been orphaned, or injured, or half frozen, and these are the ones that end up in the kitchen wearing coats made by Emily and diapers changed by John, and, of course, are photographed 24/7. This spring, one premature lamb even spent a week in their bed! The innocence and docility and softness of these bottle babies was put to good use when Emily and John enlisted them as “therapy lambs,” and visited many local nursing homes. The photographs from these visits are both heart-warming and heartbreaking. Please join newlyweds, Emily and John, at their opening on August 28th, 7 to 9 pm, at the Tunbridge Library.
