Art Reception Sunday from 4-6pm

The show “Homage: The Arc of Influence” by Chelsea, Vt., painter Dian Parker is to be on display at the Tunbridge Public Library from January 10 through March 6, 2016. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, January 10, from 4-6 p.m. It is free and open to the public. 

In this show, Dian Parker's oil paintings pay tribute to the many artists and experiences that have influenced her work over the years. Honoring artists has always been of importance to her, whether as a painter, writer, teacher, director or traveler.

Parker is a freelance writer for a number of New England publications. She writes about artists and their work for West Branch Gallery in Stowe, Vt., and is Gallery Director for White River Gallery in South Royalton, Vt. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, she has worked professionally in theatre for 25 years as an actress, dancer, director and teacher. She has traveled extensively, living in the Middle East, including Syria before its heartbreaking devastation. She now lives in Chelsea and is currently working on a novel. 
 

"For the Love of"  by Dian Parker is one of the paintings in her new exhibit paying homage to artists and teachers who have influenced her.
