Race to Read: Thunder Road Racers pumped on Books

The Tunbridge Library kicks off its Summer Program for young readers and their families on Tuesday, June 21 at 6pm.

The theme this year is: "Get Ready, Set... Read!"   To that end, we welcome representatives from Race to Read who love stock car racing as much as they enjoy reading!  Peyton and Reilly Lanphear (#20 & #21 Street Stock) are two young women from Harwood Union High School who will talk about reading this summer -- and their own experience racing at Thunder Road. They will be joined by Al Maynard (#10 Street Stock) a teacher at UVM.

Come hear about their adventures, get a close look at their rigs, and find out how you can enter the Race to Read. Over the summer, every reader can earn a chance to sign one of these cars racing at Thunder Road!

The Summer Reading program will continue with programs on Thursdays at 6, starting this comingJune 23 with a Read-a-thon. How many books can we all read in just one hour?  Come and find out!
