Felicity Swayze will read from her recently published personal memoir. In August, 1940, England is at war. Her young father, fearing an imminent German invasion, suddenly decides to send his wife, and twin children to safety in America. Their lives change forever. Felicity writes of their desperate wartime odyssey, years filled with uncertainty, constant change, virtual homelessness. She will also discuss the challenges and pleasures of writing in the memoir genre. She will touch as well on the practicalities of publication for a first time author.
