The library staff can only help provide tax forms-- not assistance on filing taxes. HOWEVER:
If you (or someone you know) is still trying to figure your taxes, there may be free assistance (from a real person!) available through VITA (the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program).
This is for people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. There are sessions at:
Brown Public Library (Northfield) from 4-7 pm Thursday April 12;
Capstone Community Action in Barre from 9-3 and 4-7pm on Thursday, April 12;
Capstone Community Action in Barre from 10-2 Saturday, April 14.

No appointment is needed, but be sure to bring all the documents necessary. You might not be alone... arrive early!
